Relationships in the pressure cooker
During lock-down, I started feeling stressed about food. I’m immune suppressed so I couldn’t go out to the supermarket: I was completely reliant on other people to do the groceries. My partner didn’t seem to grasp how difficult this was for me. It’s not something he’s had to think about much and, as a fiercely independent, barely-sick-a-day-in-his-life person, he hasn’t experienced being forced to rely on others.
It was the day before grocery day and the fridge was basically empty. “There’s not really anything for lunch,” I said.
