It’s 3 and a half years now since I left my marriage and I remember feeling just this way—the missing kitchen things, the weird empty childless house, the needing naps and no motivation to fill the long hours… Three years later it’s still hard occasionally but mostly I look forward to my child free time now. Ive been with my kids 24/7 parenting for 17 years and homeschooling for 9 so far. Now I get a little time to focus on my dreams and write. It feels weird. Really weird, but eventually it stops feeling weird and both the times with your kids and the times without them become precious in different ways. Hang in there xxx
