Making assumptions is a very embarrassing thing to do, conny manero. I wouldn’t recommend it. I am, in fact, a stay-, at-home-mom and homeschool my kids. I have cared for them almost 24/7 since they were born, as well as raised a foster daughter. I also have two step children that I adore. That is 15 years of full-time parenting and five kids. I love being a mom. I was also a teacher before that so I’ve looked after dozens of kids.

Parenting is also not always easy. I wrote this for people who are suddenly thrown into being full-time stay-at-home parents with social distancing and school closures. It’s not easy for people because change isn’t easy. There is always an adjustment period as they learn to do things differently. It’s understandable that parents are struggling with the change. Not every parent wants to homeschool their kids. If they complain it doesn’t mean they don’t love their children! Be kind. Everyone is feeling pressure at the moment — parents don’t need your judgement if they are struggling.
