Here’s How to Fix Your Risk Assessment Skills

Is It As Safe As You Think?

My risk tolerance is super low.

I’m constantly running a mental checklist on all the things that could go wrong in any situation.

My husband is the complete opposite. He has the attitude stereotypical for kiwi men: “She’ll be right, mate.”

Safety is the one thing my husband and I disagree on most and we both think we’re right in our risk assessments.

Let’s be honest, we all think we’re the ones judging risks correctly.

Which end of the risk spectrum do you fall on?

  • Are you padding sharp corners on your coffee table?
  • Or swimming with sharks?

According to the experts in this area, you’re probably getting it wrong.

At least some of the time.

And, when you do, it can make you more unsafe.

There’s a reason behind our bad risk assessing skills. Several actually. And also ways to improve it.

I’ve collated some of them to help you boost your risk judgement. Then you can confidently tell your partner: “actually, I’m right on this.”
You’re welcome.

We often get risk “right,”…
