Single Guys, If You Want to Impress Us Don’t Do These 3 Things

After my divorce, I joined a Single-and-Dating Facebook group for women. I learnt a lot — including what some men imagine will win them points in the dating world. And guys, I have to say, it was a bit of a surprise! I hope the men reading this are all wise enough to not do these things when trying to get a date, but just incase —

Here are three “dating” things men do that just don’t impress women:

1. Talking dirty too early

Some of us don’t mind (or even enjoy) talking dirty with our men. When you do it too early though you come across as sleazy and sex obsessed, and it makes it pretty clear you’re looking for a hook up. For the early stages of getting to know a woman be a gentleman (if you are only wanting a hook up, you need a different article).

• Ask about her interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes (outside of the bedroom!).
• Show interest in her life.
• Find out if this is a person you could actually be friends with.
• Discover what you have in common, if anything, other than the fact you’re both single.
